Family Career and Community Leaders of America [FCCLA] are beginning a new year. Their main goal is finding new members.
“Right now we are recruiting new members. The existing members are looking at if they want to do competitive events this year,” said FCCLA Adviser Tina Gilbertson
FCCLA has over 200,000 members and over 6,500 chapters from 50 state associations.
“We have training coming up on October 26, and we will be traveling to St. Louis, November 4-7 for a national meeting,” said Gilbertson.
FCCLA has involved more than ten million students since its founding in 1945.
“We are currently trying to figure out a date for our winter dance, and also doing fundraising,” said Gilbertson
FCCLA’s colors are red and white. Red symbolizes strength, courage and determination. White symbolizes sincerity of purpose and integrity of action.
