In the halls of Black River Falls High School, a new display is making its way to its debut. One that celebrates culture, remembrance and community.
“This year for Hispanic Heritage Month, I have partnered with a few kids from Waaksik Wacek, as well as a few Hispanic children, who are going to be changing the bulletin board outside of my room to give us some facts on Hispanic Heritage Month. And right in this corner of my room, we are going to be making an ofrenda starting this Friday,” Ho-Chunk language teacher Haashoni McCaskey said.
