Who Done It?

Every student who enrolls in Woodworking gets the chance to design and create something that they think will be useful. Sophomore Keith Dawley is taking that chance to make a 90 degree corner TV stand for his home.

“[When you start building something]you have to think about what you’re going to make, then you take measurements to make sure it’s going to fit where you want it,” said Dawley.

Actually putting something together can require time, thinking and patience. Dawley plans on taking his time with his TV stand, starting with the door face first to “get that out of the way.”

“To put the glass in the door, you cut out a square in the back of the frame so you can put the glass in,” said Dawley. “There are different ways you can make it stay in…I plan on using a wood cover because it looks better.”
