This week the music department has been busy with preparations for upcoming events.

On February 8  Music Boosters met to plan both the Taco Supper and the Middle School Solo and Ensemble Festival. The two events fall on the same weekend; the Taco Supper is on Friday, February 26 and the Solo and Ensemble Festival is February 27.

On Tuesday Pep Band played at the boy’s basketball game–this is the seventeenth time the Pep Band has played at a game this season.

In band this week, student took time to rehearse ensembles for Solo and Ensemble. In choir students worked on songs they will be performing at the upcoming Taco Supper.

Next week the band students have two different presentations from guests. One is the annual visit from a Marine to talk about the Marine Band, and the other is a guest performance by a jazz flute player on February 19.
