Lunch and Learn was introduced last November. Principal Tom Chambers liked the suggestion and wanted to give it a try. Kids weren’t getting the help they needed, so he wanted to find a way to increase student productivity.
Chambers was asked how students take advantage of the extra learning time. He says some use it correctly and others don’t, and says students need to encourage others to use the time wisely.
Chambers has noticed that the thoughts on how students and teachers feel about the program are mixed. He says “The biggest struggle for the teachers is, we didn’t have things that were black and white for them.”
Lastly, Chambers said what he’d change about the program. He stated that there are some minor tweaks being made, but nothing huge, since this is a major change.
