LaFleur Fills Rykken’s Shoes

Dawn LaFleur had some large shoes to fill this year as the new PE teacher at the Black River Falls High School.

After Mary Rykken had a strong impact in Black River Falls for 28 years, this year it was time to find new feet to take Mrs. Rykken’s spot.

LaFleur came to BRFHS from Alaska. She has two kids who are currently enrolled in West Salem.

LaFleur is excited to revamp the PE program by buying new equipment for the school and bringing in a positive attitude to the high school. She has new curriculum to teach and is eager to continue her teaching career at the school.
