JV Football Improves their Record

The JV football team looked to get on track after losing their first game to Tomah. They tried to pick up a win against the Viroqua Blackhawks on September 20. The Tigers traveled to Viroqua and came out victorious with a score of 13-10.

“We were very happy to get our first win under our belts,” said junior CJ Cook.

With the JV Tigers first victory, they now have a record two and one.

“I was satisfied that we pulled it off down the stretch,” said Cook.

The Tigers won that game, but are still looking for wins.

“Our line on both on offense and defense, off the ball needs some work,” said Cook.

They owe some of their success to the quarterback and there wide receiving core.

“Our quarterback and our wide receivers are very good and need them for the rest of the season,” said Cook.

Editor’s Note: The original version of this story included an incorrect current season win-loss record. As of the writing of this article, the team has won two games and lost another.
