Chris and Emily have been together all their lives. Their families inseparable, and neither of them could recall a memory without the other. The two 17-year-olds started out as friends and they slowly became lovers. They are what people call the poster couple for true love. However, both parents get a phone call one night telling them they need to come to the hospital. There they find out Emily is dead, and her mom believes Chris is the reason she’s dead. Throughout the book both the families are torn apart and the same question is on everyone’s mind: Did Chris kill Emily?
