Tigers Come Together

[flickr]photo:4330497232[/flickr]Last year the Tiger basketball team was a strong one, but they lost a lot of players in transition to this year.

“We are off to a pretty slow start,” said sophomore Alex Johnson. “I feel that we keep on improving and getting better.”

The team is off to a rough start, suffering several losses, but they are able to keep their spirits high and keep their hopes up and plan to make improvements not only as people, but as a team. This year has been a shaky one but the team remains strong.

“We’re not doing so great this year,” said senior Conrad Bragee. “But I feel that we are growing as a team and getting better.”

The team is facing many hardships but they are staying strong. They are working together and taking the losses as a chance to

“The guys have been working hard and getting better,” said Jensen. “We are not as strong as we have been, and most of the other schools have really strong teams this year. It’s been difficult, but we are working through it.”

This years team has been through some tough stuff, but besides losses, took a hit when they lost one of their best players Adam Decorah.

“[Decorah] was one of our top scorers, it’s always tough when you lose a guy like that,” said Bragee. “But we are coming together and we are finding new guys to fill the gaps and really coming together as a team.”

The team has worked hard to better themselves as individuals and as a team. At practice they focus on both personal and team training exercises. In order to better themselves, the team sets goals for themselves.

“The guys have been working hard and getting better,” said Jensen. “We are not as strong as we have been, and most of the other schools have really strong teams this year. It’s been difficult, but we are working through it.”

“We’ve been getting better,” said junior Greg VonRuden. “[At practice] we are setting goals to work better and to work harder, we are just really trying to come together as a team.”

“I think that the team is really coming together,” said coach Brian Jensen. “We’ve been through some difficult losses but they are definitely working hard and getting better.”
